Correcting
Please give me some tips for correcting chatlogs and voice recording.
Marianela
Personally, I don't correct chatlogs for grammar. I only check that participants have accomplished the task(s) they have been assigned. I observe the kind of interaction that took place. (Daf)
This is what I do with voice recordings: I listen to
- mispronounced words
- syntactic mistakes
Then, I create a list of the mispronounced words and give students a list of these words with links to Merriam Webster Online dictionary where they can listen to the pronunciation. Then ask students to compose sentences with each of these words, or paragraphs containing the words, and to record the sentences or paragraphs. See an example here
Regarding syntax, I select the most frequent mistakes and explain to the whole group. Individual mistakes are dealt with with each student individually.

En ese wiki de los estudiantes, ellos pondrán su tareas como summaries o lo que sea desde donde yo se los corregirÃa? (Marianela)
La primera actividad del wiki se las mandé a hacer directamente en el wiki (su propia definición de arq /UP) pero normalmente yo primero les pido que coloquen sus trabajos en Moodle y luego de ser corregidos, ellos lo pasan a sus wikis.. (Daf)
Using Survey-Monkey
1. ¿How to create a matrix with rating scales? (Marianela)

Using wikis
1. Cuando los estudiantes hagan sus wikis, que entiendo serán sus e-portafolios, ¿en dónde los anexan para que lo compartan con sus compañeros? Marianela
Puedes abrir un wiki en Moodle para que coloquen allà las direcciones de sus wikis una vez que los creen. Yo voy a añadir las de mis alumnos en el wiki de actividades una vez que me inviten a sus respectivos wikis. . (Daf)
No connection, What to do?
**¿qué pasa si se cae el servidor y no podemos trabajar en Moodle? ¿Es por eso que se tiene un back up con un wiki personal? O qué hago cuando eso me suceda? Marianela
Well, that's one of the things why I have a Web page or a wiki or both. With blended learning you need to always have a second plan (well, even in F2f classes when you use technology -videos - Overhead projectors, etc -) If there is no connection you can always discuss about the topic you are studying, explain grammar and vocabulary. You can have students do impromptu speeches, etc. There are so many things to do in a language class. Daf
